Julie C. Lanz
In her trusts and estates practice, Ms. Lanz helps her clients achieve wealth transfer objectives and minimize estate tax and gift tax so that her clients can provide their families with an inheritance. Her practice also encompasses estate administration after the death of a loved one. She helps many families navigate the sometimes sensitive intersection of money and family, and guides trustees and executors through probate and trust administration matters.
Ms. Lanz listens to her clients and helps them design wills and trusts that best take care of their families. She also advises clients regarding California’s real property taxes and planning for future generations, such as optimal use of the parent-child exclusion from reassessment. Her clients include educated professionals, young families with minor children, entrepreneurs with successful private companies, executives of public and private companies, and clients with adult children and grandchildren.
Before joining Carr McClellan, Ms. Lanz was a litigation attorney in the Palo Alto office of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP.
